Today I have no words. There is nothing I wish to say... no feelings I wish to describe. Only pictures, that perhaps are special memories.
The creativity of my siblings astounds me. Aunt Mouser did a fabulous job with her tomato snowman. The tomatoes were reduced, reused, and recycled. ;)
Picnics, outdoors... Tomato soup, macaroni salad, toasted cheese sandwiches, corn....
Skimming cream off the top of the raw milk, for cottage cheese.
Almost a quart, from just one gallon of milk! We get good milk. Jersey milk... :)
The cottage cheese... It was a late night that I made this cottage cheese, and I have a memory behind it. I was so tired that night... we girls had just went on a very long bike ride, and we had the scare of our lives... in passing a house, in the dark, with trees sheltering us (hiding us, too) all around, a man shouted out, asking in a scary voice who was going by. We sped by, terrorized, as he shouted for their "watchdog" to be let loose. We didn't stop pedaling until we turned onto a different road. Then we rested for a moment, out of breath.
I tried making yogurt, but it failed. :( It turned out to be just plain milk. So we made it into pudding. Ya know, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
Fudge, for my friend's birthday present...
These next are for Donny... A portraiture of Shadow.
Love those of Shadow! Very well done.
ReplyDeleteAnd that fudge is so good! :)
