Dissection

Of course, for Biology we have to have labs. I did Biology two years ago, and waited to do labs until my younger sister did Biology. She has been doing Biology this year, and we just dissected the earthworm and the crayfish.

Photography by Shadow.

Obviously, the crayfish received considerable damage. I've asked my brother to catch me more crayfish, because I would like to do him again. :)

  1. Eeeew......that is disturbing.....so gross! I'm sure it wouldn't look as bad in real life as in pictures........at least for me anyway :/ -Lin

  2. Yea, it was minorely disturbing. I wonder what people think they are doing, giving innocent little girls /things/ to cut up. They call it "dissection". I call it...bleh. Rather disturbing. *wrinkles nose*
I laugh though, cause we "dissect" lots of things in real life. Like chicken, for example. I had to "dissect" chicken off the bones yesterday for the chicken noodle soup I was making. It was cooked...if it was bloody...then, well, let's just say I wouldn't have been doing that. =P And Linalin, you've helped butcher that bull...and everything. Who needs "icky" labs???? I certainly don't. ~Kitten

  3. Cowgirl up Kitten! I remember doing such in school. Of course me being the country boy I am, it wasn't so interesting as I had "dissected" many animals already, only it wasn't to study them. Crawfish huh? I'll get my boots....-BigBro

    1. Through many years of catching hundreds of crawfish :) It didn't take long to see the differences in females and males.
