Foggy Spring Mornings

I was driving Kitten to work, and the fog caught my attention. :P I did take those with my phone.... while driving... :P I was careful. -.- Kitten steered part of the time. :)

IRS Troubles

It's funny how you can follow all the instructions and yet find yourself going in circles. And then you get your answer and you feel so dumb. So I'm having to pay my federal taxes, as I have a job, and that is what the government so desires. I am not impressed though. I entered all the correct information, and the next step is simply to pay what I owe. But it seems to be telling me that have to put in last year's AGI number. Now I did not file taxes last year, so I do not have such a number. Today mom and I sat down to follow the instructions to call the IRS to 'reset' my AGI number to 0. So we called the number given. "For English press 1...." 1 is pressed. The next option... And so we select the proper option... The next option and the next... and on and on. Finally we get to the one where we select to speak with a representative, and - "I'm sorry, we no longer have representatives for you to speak with," is told to us. We call several numbers. Each one seems to be a dead end. Finally, after waiting a good long time, mom is able to chat online with a person. The person tells mom everything we already know, and mom feels about ready to give up. Finally, she tells mom a whole list of numbers that will get us to speak with a human. We dial the numbers and a very prim sounding lady tells us that all we needed to do was put 0 into the box for last year's AGI. We didn't need to have anyone reset the number.... Huh. -.-
